Adventure-proof packing systems innovator Giant Loop has introduced the world’s first seat-top tent for motorcycles, the EXPANDER™ Adventure Tent. Weighing in at just under 20 pounds, the EXPANDER™ mounts to virtually any adventure touring motorcycle, providing 100 square feet of hazard-free living space while deployed safely off the ground.
Constructed in the USA with tubular and extruded titanium framework, ladder and supports, with ultralight Vapor™ fabrics, the EXPANDER™ packs into its own case 6” tall x 18” wide x 18” long, or about the size of a box of Voodoo Donuts.
Upgrades include one-click remote controlled deployment and packing, anti-microbial UV interior lighting and a Dyneema®/Kevlar® predator barrier (patent pending).
USA MSRP is $2999.99. Pre-orders for the Giant Loop EXPANDER™ Adventure Tent are available now, with a non-refundable deposit of $299.99 USD, exclusively at giant-loop.com. Estimated first production ship date is April 1, 2021.
Funny. On a serious note though...I've thought about making some kind of a cot or something for the back of my GSA. You can sleep in your car at rest areas but they fuss if you nap on the picnic tables...I think its a form of discrimination...not sure.

I’m thinking it’s a joke just because of the price. There isn’t anything even close to $2999 on that thing. Then there is the stability of a square tent on an off road bike. Yup. April Fools on Giant Loop

The "estimated first production ship date" is a dead giveaway it's an April Fool's joke. It's not the worst idea, though, is it? Or is it totally outlandish? Maybe I haven't done enough motorcycling adventures to know. Yeah, that's it!
But your bike is still out in the open, exposed to the elements and vandals. Consider adding a ramp to get it off the ground, and a protective cover. You could add an alarm system, but that would be just silly . . .

But what if I accidentally hit the remote while riding?

I am the only one that thinks the MOA should be above all of this April 1st BS?
My next bike will be a Triumph!
