In partnership with the BMW MOA, MOA Foundation and West38 Moto, a unique Adventure Training opportunity for MOA members has been scheduled for September 3rd-8th, 2021 in Ouray, Colorado! Limited to only
12 participants, these lucky students will be treated to two full days of training and two more days of off-road development riding putting those new skills to use on
their
personal motorcycle. The $1,995 registration fee includes: five nights of camping, breakfast and dinner on each of the four training days as well as a welcome gift and event shirt.
The base for this training adventure will be the Ouray KOA Holiday. This is designed as an all-camping event but the KOA may have cabins or RV spots available for your separate purchase
so be sure to check with them at 970-325-4736. Come explore Colorado and put a training tag on your adventure!

West38Moto has built their training programs around one simple fact - people learn at different speeds, and in distinctive ways and want to reach their own individualized goals. They have designed their training to encompass both Level I (Novice/Beginner
training) as well as Level II (Intermediate) to allow for your individualized learning. They know that not everyone functions well outside their comfort zone, while others in the same class want to be pushed out of it. The Triple Threat - or clutch,
brake, and throttle - is the backbone of the program and carries into exercises such as:
- Controlled stops and skids using the front, rear, and both brakes together
- Balancing on the bike at slow speeds and body positioning
- Understanding body positioning and counterbalancing while riding slow around corners and obstacles
- 360-degree circles and figure eights
- Skid turns
- Climbing and descending turns on hills with obstacles and switchbacks
- Restarting and recovering from stalls on hills
- How to ride sand and mud safely and comfortably
The scheduled dates of the event are:
- Check-in - 9/3/21
- Training Days 9/4/21 & 9/5/21
- Riding Days - 9/6/21 & 9/7/21
- Check out - 9/8/21
* The price for Premier Training events includes subsidy from the BMW MOA Foundation and therefore Paul B. Scholarships are not available for Premier Training events.
