Local riders will tell you this area is the “east Tennessee of the upper Midwest.” There are so many curves, twists, coulees and hollows you'd swear you are in West Virginia. And the roads… oh, the roads!

Event Details

What can we say...it's Wisconsin!  Where you can take a beautiful ride and a big step back in time.  Where you might catch the scent of narrow-waisted bundles of hay in the fields or hear the clip clop of the horse-drawn buggies as they pass on the road.  Where you can stop at an Amish roadside stand to pick up a fresh pie for your midnight snack. Where you can visit the cheese factory which processes 130,000 pounds of milk from 270 Amish farmers daily. Where you can stand in a cranberry bog.

With roads as varied as the scenery and history, there is something for every preference and experience level at the Tomah Getaway.  Route options will include the Mindoro Cut, which was hand dug through soft sandstone in 1907.  It's our own little "dragon" and you are going to want to ride this one twice.  If you are ready for a little off-road adventure, so are we.  We'll have a route ready for you with a mix of paved and gravel roads winding through the scenic hills of Wisconsin.  There might be a few water crossing and a few farmer roads, but it promises to be a fun day filled with quiet roads "less-traveled".  Route planning and rider advice will be available on Friday night. 

Event Fees

The $99 event fee includes a Friday night welcome party and dinner with cash bar, Saturday night dinner and awards with cash bar, $500 worth of door prizes and a special MOA gift.  Event fees are refundable if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will receive a voucher for a future MOA event. Please visit bmwmoa.org/refunds for a list of covered events and circumstances that qualify for an event credit. The Getaway event fee does not include lodging. Please call the hotel directly or visit the hotel's website for reservations and cancellation policies. Hotel/lodging facility may have strict cancellation policies. Please verify these policies with the hotel prior to making any reservations.

Lodging

Event registration and hotel rooms are reserved separately. The beautiful Cranberry country lodge will be the host hotel for our event. Room rates begin at $89/night and are guaranteed at that rate until September 1, 2021. After that date, MOA members save 10% off the room rates available at the time of the reservation. Contact the Cranberry Lodge at (608) 374-2801 and mention the rate code BMW MOA to get the best rate. 

 

Due to the popularity of Cranberry Country Lodge, the property will strictly enforce its reservation cancellation policy. Please be aware of the policy when reserving your accommodations as the BMW MOA will not be responsible for cancellation fees charged by the resort. The host property and the MOA maintain separate cancellation policies.
