26th Gathering of the Clans

Airheds, those who ride airheads, and other members of the motorcycling community are invited to join us for a weekend of friends, fun and fantastic roads at the Highcountry Motorcycle Camp. Plenty of shaded camping, clean hot showers, Friday and Saturday evening meals. $45 per adult, children charged according to size and temperament. Getting there is an adventure. You will be going to 765 Stoney Fork Rd., Ferguson, NC. Go to highcountrymotorcyclecamp.com for maps, directions and other info about the campground. WARNING: GPS and/or Smartphones may or may not get you to the campground, or they may send you down a road you are not prepared for. There is NO cell service in the area of the campground. If this is your first visit to the Gathering, PLEASE use the directions below. The first turn to the campground is about nine miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway, or seven miles north of North Wilksboro following US 421. Look for BMW roundels with directional arrows. All other turns are similarly marked. It is strongly suggested you fuel up and get beverages and other supplies you may need in either Boone or North Wilksboro, it is 16 miles to the camp after leaving US 421. Please check your tires before leaving home, we have seen too many riding cords on arrival.
